Halloween is tomorrow. Ghosts, goblins, witches, Spiderman, T. Rex, Wolverine, Dr. Doom and Mario will appear. The Great Pumpkin is again expected in the pumpkin patch. Linus believes that the Great Pumpkin will rise from the pumpkin patch on Halloween night and bring toys for all the good boys and girls.
He believes in the Great Pumpkin. He believes in something unseen. Always stay true to what you believe.
Linus’s friends will be celebrating Halloween as he awaits the arrival of the Great Pumpkin. Unfortunately, after 60 years, the Great Pumpkin still never appears.
However, Linus remains hopeful in the face of disappointment. Maybe next year.
Why do you give up trick or treat for the Great Pumpkin?
Linus: Because the Great Pumpkin is more important. Instead of collecting candy, I am in the most sincere pumpkin patch I can find, waiting.
Does the Great Pumpkin fly through the air on Halloween?
Linus: If you believe, of course he does. He rises out of the pumpkin patch to deliver toys to the children.
After all these years, is it still worth it to sit in the pumpkin patch?
Linus: Yes Sir. My belief in the Great Pumpkin is sincere. Belief isn’t about results, it’s about sincerity.
Does Charlie Brown get many rocks?
Linus: Well last year he got seven. Unfortunately, he is expecting more in his pillowcase this Saturday night. Maybe this year, Charlie Brown will join me in the pumpkin patch.
Are you wearing a different costume this Halloween?
Linus: Yes Sir. Instead of going as a ghost, I have decided to dress as Woody from Toy Story. I hope his cowboy charm and loyalty will attract the Great Pumpkin.
What is your favorite meal on Halloween? Linus: I have always eaten popcorn, pizza, pumpkin bread and bobbed for apples on Halloween. I wash it down with apple cider.
