The EEFS Company, PC prepared bids and specifications for the City of Bessemer 2026-2027 Street Patching Project.
Four bids were received and opened in accordance with the terms and conditions contained in the bid solicitation.
At a recent, regularly scheduled meeting of the Bessemer City Council with a quorum being present, it was determined that Central Alabama Asphalt and Construction Company was the lowest, responsible bidder.
The bid was in the amount of $665,491.50.
The Bessemer City Council agreed to award the Street Patching Project to Central Alabama Asphalt and Construction.
Councilman Chester W. Porter made a motion to approve the resolution awarding the street patching bid to Central Alabama Asphalt and Construction Company. Councilman Teco Stephens seconded the motion. The motion was approved.
