The members of Grace Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) are good Samaritans.
The Helena-based church is a small church with a big heart and is passionate about helping those in need.
The church is sponsoring a blanket drive at its Sunday, Oct. 18, worship service at 10 a.m.
The Rev. Dr. Nisha Warbington is the minister at Grace Church.
The goal of the project is to share the physical warmth of a blanket and the spiritual warmth of Christ’s love.
The new and gently used blankets will be given to the women and children who seek shelter at First Light Shelter in Birmingham. When they leave First Light, they will take the blanket with them.
The Christian Women’s Fellowship at Grace started the project last year.
The public is welcome to donate blankets as well as attend the Sunday morning worship service, which starts at 10 a.m.
