BioHorizons packs 150 backpacks for area students

BioHorizons

Team members at BioHorizons, a Birmingham-based dental implant company and subsidiary of Henry Schein, Inc., recently packed and donated 150 backpacks filled with school supplies and dental hygiene kits to help local children prepare for the school year.

Of the 150 backpacks, 70 went to The TEA Spot Inc., a nonprofit supporting children and families throughout Jefferson and St. Clair counties, and 80 were distributed to Birmingham-area schools and educators, including a new teacher preparing a classroom for the first time.

The event is part of Henry Schein’s Back to School program, a flagship initiative of Henry Schein Cares, the company’s global corporate citizenship program, which is marking its 25th anniversary this year. Since its inception the program has benefited more than 80,000 children across the communities the company serves.
