Apostle Leonard Wood on his 2nd Anniversary
The first week of October captured a man of true faith celebrating his second pastoral anniversary.
For forty plus years, Apostle Leonard Wood has shared God’s Gospel, and for the last two years he has been a minister to the flock of True Worship Ministries Baptist Church (1401 4th Ave. Southwest – Bessemer, AL 35020).
The second anniversary program was memorable as Apostle Leroy Boswell brought the morning message, with Pastor Joel Davis sharing the evening ceremony message.
Alongside his wife, Dr. Valerie T. Wood, Apostle Wood was caught in a moment of gratefulness to his loving congregants. He spoke with us, saying,
“This is a milestone. My intention was to help out here at the church, but I ended up as pastor, and since God’s in it, I’m good with it. I have an assignment from God which has been to teach his people right and lead them in the right direction. I want people to live unto their Godly Kingdom benefits.”
Apostle Wood has had many ups and downs yet has continued to deliver God’s message nonetheless, encouraging all who have an ear to continue forward despite the trials and tribulations we all may face.
We salute Apostle Wood, as he is on the cusp of sharing the Word for fifty years, and all others who continue to share God’s word through example, experience, truthfulness, and righteousness.
