Pam’s altruistic personality is making a significant difference in the lives of others. With God’s help, Pam and FMSC will work together with many organizations and ministries across the globe to end hunger.

What is Feed My Starving Children? Pam: A Christian non-profit organization dedicated to seeing every child and person around the world healthy, nourished and whole in body and spirit. We believe no child should go hungry. Every child deserves a nutritious meal every day. For more information, contact Pam, pjck6384@gmail.com.

What is the mission of the organization? Pam: You will hear us say this again and again, “We want to reach everyone, until ALL are fed.” We truly mean this. We are committed to reaching the hard to reach people and places; the “least of these.” They will be found, and they will be fed. We have reached out to more than 70 countries.

Do you have a favorite quote? Pam: Isaiah 58: 10-12.

Tell me about your family? Pam: I am the middle child of Jinnie and James Colburn of Marion, Alabama. I have a wonderful husband of 27 years, Eric Kirsch, and we have two amazing children, Erica, 24 and Nic, 20.

What is the objective of the organization? Pam: Firmly Christ centered, we strive to follow the will of Jesus Christ every day in all we do. We believe hope starts with food. We produce special MannaPack meal formulas developed by food science and nutrition professionals to supplement nutritional needs and reduce problems with malnutrition. Our meals are hand-packed by volunteers at FMSC’s eight permanent packing sites and also at the mobile packing sites. The next packing event will be at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church in McCalla on January 23-24, 2026.

What gives you joy? Pam: My greatest joy comes from spending time with my family and watching them grow and grow in their love of God each day. Also, helping others by sharing with them God’s love.

What is a mobile packing event? Pam: In order to have a mobile packing event $30,000 must be raised to cover the cost of the food (manna) and transportation. We depend on donations to raise the necessary funds. The event requires 500 volunteers who actually pack the manna bags for shipping around the world including Gaza and Ukraine. The 2025 event fed 85,536 people in Guatemala.

Tell me your favorite meal? Pam: I am a southern girl, and I love my mother-in-law’s fried/baked chicken called Jo’s chicken, mashed potatoes, carrots, green beans, and for dessert crème brulee.
