IRVING, Texas – The American Conference will host its 2025 American Tipoff Sunday and Monday, October 12-13 at the Birmingham Jefferson Convention Complex in Birmingham, Alabama.
The American is inviting fans to participate in the annual event to start the college basketball season.
Team rotations will begin at 2 p.m. CT on Sunday and will continue Monday morning with a show on ESPN+ hosted by Maria Trivelpiece, Mike O’Donnell and Brooke Weisbrod and will feature studentathletes and coaches from all 26 American teams. Live coverage of the 2025 Tipoff will start at 9:15 a.m. ET/8:15 a.m. CT on Monday.
Fans will be able to experience the 2025 American Tipoff with unprecedented access to their favorite teams, coaches and student-athletes.
In advance of the American Tipoff, the 2025 coaches’ preseason poll and honors were released on Thursday, October 9.
