A memorable weekend is guaranteed for the former graduates of George Washington Carver High School in Bessemer.
The George Washington Carver High School National Alumni Association has planned their annual class reunion for October 9-11.
Jacqueline Sanders is president, and Paul Roper is vice-president of the Alumni Association.
All former Carver Elementary, Junior and High School students are invited and welcome to attend this grand celebration.
The three-day event will be held at the Superior Events Center, #5 18th Street, North in Bessemer.
Among the activities scheduled include a Meet and Greet on Thursday, a banquet on Friday and on Saturday a picnic.
On Friday, October 10 at noon a Carver historic marker rededication ceremony is scheduled at the site of the former school, 600 Second Avenue, North, Bessemer.
