“Strokes of Life”: Jefferson County artist’s works accepted in Montgomery art show

Montgomery art show

The 59th Annual Montgomery Art Guild Regions Bank Exhibition will display some of Alabama’s finest artists’ works.

With the opening reception starting on October 7, 2025, from 5:30-7:00 p.m. at the RSA Tower (201 Monroe Street, Downtown Montgomery) this historic program is one not to be missed.

In collaboration with art departments of Alabama State University and Auburn University Montgomery as well as King’s Canvas, the Prattauga Art Guild and the Society of Arts and Crafts, this exhibit will feature 101 pieces of art works from the best of the best.

One particular artist and Jefferson County resident, Mr. Khalil Davis, will have his popular piece, “Blessed Gremlin” on display at the upcoming exhibit.

A passionate artist with a style akin to Jean Michel Basquiat, Mr. Davis is taking nothing lightly for such an opportunity.

“This means the world to me honestly, and I thank GOD for this blessing. Since the age of three I’ve been creating art, and I allow GOD to guide me within my future. I’m hoping this exhibition not only gets me noticed, but helps elevate my passion and love for art. I tell people all the time that art is a matter of your mind and no matter the experience, anyone can create art.”

Enthusiastic and always creating new art pieces Mr. Davis will be one of several showcasing their brands of artistic expressions. MAG Board of Directors, Warren Simons, Andrea Buchmann and Richard Mills are excited for this event that is set to provide constructive feedback and camaraderie amongst artists of all kinds.

We look forward to viewing these masterpieces along with being inspired to capture our outlooks in varied forms as well.
