Four Auburn University students from Jefferson County received scholarships from the Alabama Farmers Agriculture Foundation and the Jefferson County Farmers Federation at the Alabama Farmers Federation’s scholarship reception Sept. 21 at Lazenby Farms in Auburn.
Robert Burke, a freshman studying biosystems engineering, received the John Morris Memorial Scholarship. Crystal Dockery, a junior studying poultry science; Alayna Moore, a sophomore studying agricultural business and economics; and Tucker Ross, a freshman studying agricultural business technology, were also recognized.
Seventy-nine students were honored at the annual program, and almost $140,000 in scholarships went to Auburn undergraduates pursuing agriculture and forestry careers, the federation said. Applications for 2026-2027 scholarships open Nov. 1 at AlfaFarmers.org/scholarships, with a deadline of Feb. 1, 2027.
