Scope of Work: Construction of a new standalone fire station facility including sleeping units, restrooms, kitchen, station office (ICC-500 tornado shelter), and apparatus bays. Construction is a hybrid of light-framed wood and pre-engineered metal. Includes site and utility improvements. Two add alternates are included for a third apparatus bay and additional bunk rooms.
Project Duration: 365 consecutive calendar days. Liquidated damages are $750.00 per day.
Bid Requirements:
- Bid documents must be obtained from EEFS Company, PC for a $400 deposit.
- A cashier’s check or bid bond of 5% (max $10,000) and a Non-Collusion Affidavit are required.

INVITATION FOR BIDS FOR THE SALE OF STATE LAND LOCATED IN TUSCALOOSA COUNTY, ALABAMA
LOCATION OF PROPERTY SUBJECT OF THIS NOTICE:
The “Sharpes Lake Road Property,” more specifically described as follows:
A parcel of land located in a portion of the Northwest 1/4 of the Northwest 1/4 of Section 19, Township 20 South, Range 9 West and all of the Southeast 1/4 of the Southeast 1/4 of Section 24, Township 20 South, Range 10 West, that lies North and West of Lake Tuscaloosa, Tuscaloosa County, Alabama, containing 20.96 acres more or less.
MINIMUM BID AMOUNT: $420,000
BID DEPOSIT: Each bid submitted must be accompanied by a certified or cashier’s check in the amount of $42,000 as bid deposit made payable to the State Lands Division which will be forfeited if the bid is accepted and the bidder does not complete the transaction within thirty (30) days of award. Any bid submitted without such check will not be considered.
Unsuccessful bidders’ deposits will be returned promptly following the bid opening. The successful bidder’s deposit will be applied to the purchase price. The successful bidder shall reimburse the Alabama Department of Mental Health for the cost of the appraisal, $3,200, the cost of the survey, $16,300, and the advertisement fees incurred for this notice.
