The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Alabama (BGCCA) is proud to announce Brooklynn Madison as the 2026 Youth of the Year recipient.

A dedicated and inspiring leader, Brooklynn is a senior at Jefferson County International Baccalaureate School (JCIB) and a proud member of the Hueytown Boys & Girls Club.

Selected for her outstanding leadership, academic excellence, and commitment to community service, Brooklynn was honored at the Youth of the Year Celebration, presented by Vistage and Harris Doyle Homes, on February 19, 2025, at The Club.

As part of this recognition, she received a total of $8,000 in scholarship money$3,000 from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Alabama and $5,000 from the George V. Daniels Memorial Scholarship Fund — to support her higher education journey.

Brooklynn plans to attend Vassar College, in Poughkeepsie, New York, after graduation.

As the Youth of the Year recipient, Brooklynn will represent BGCCA at the Alabama State Youth of the Year Competition in March, where she will compete against other outstanding Club members from across the state for additional scholarship opportunities.

“Youth of the Year is the highest honor a Boys & Girls Club member can achieve, recognizing leadership, service, academic excellence, and dedication to living a healthy lifestyle,” said Alex Colvert, Hueytown Club Campus Director. “Brooklynn exemplifies everything we strive to instill in our Club members, and we are incredibly proud of her accomplishments.”
