King & Queen of Hearts crowned at Plantation Manor

Love is in the air! Love is everywhere!

Valentine’s Day weekend at Plantation Manor Retirement Community will long be remembered as a lovely, wonderful time.

The retirement facility, located on Old Tuscaloosa Highway in McCalla, was the site of the 16th annual King & Queen of Hearts program held on Friday, February 13.

Planning the fun-filled event was Plantation Manor Activities Director Shon Harris.

Crowned Upper Level—King and Queen of Hearts were Rudy Hauenstein and Billie Stewart, respectively, and Lower Level—King and Queen of Hearts were Elvin Travis and Betty Jean Turner, respectively.

The winners were voted on by the residents and staff.

Following the crowning, the residents and their guests enjoyed a delicious lunch and, for dessert, Valentine donuts and cupcakes.

This is one of many planned activities the residents participate in and share fellowship during the year.
