The City of Bessemer Stormwater Office will host a Lunch and Learn meeting on Wednesday, February 18, 2026.
The meeting starts at 11:30 a.m. and will be held in the Multi-Purpose Room on the First Floor at Bessemer City Hall, 1700 3rd Avenue, North.
Lunch will be provided for the first 50 people.
Stormwater Specialist Scott Gurley is coordinating the event.
The guest speaker will be Charles Yeager, director of Land and Water Conservation for Jefferson County Greenways. He will speak about Jefferson County’s urban greenways.
Yeager will discuss:
- Managing historic land use
- Invasive species
- Restoration initiatives
- Stormwater runoff control
- Ensuring public access for all
The public is welcome to attend the meeting and learn about the stormwater program and Jefferson County’s urban greenway.
