West Alabama Food & Wine Festival announces Table of Grace as new 2026–2027 beneficiary; Humane Society of West Alabama continues for 2026

Tuscaloosa/Northport, Ala. — November 21, 2025 —
The West Alabama Food & Wine Festival (WAFWF) is proud to announce Table of Grace as its newly selected 2026–2027 beneficiary, joining the Humane Society of West Alabama, which will continue its second year of support in 2026.

The WAFWF supports two local nonprofits each year, with beneficiaries receiving two consecutive years of funding to ensure meaningful, sustainable impact. The Humane Society of West Alabama will enter its second year in 2026, while Table of Grace begins the first year of its two-year partnership with the festival.

Table of Grace was chosen by the West Alabama Food & Wine Festival Board of Directors for its ability to meet a rapidly growing community need with both compassion and innovation. As demand for fresh, healthy food continues to rise, the organization’s client-choice pantry, expanding garden program, and strong volunteer leadership made it a standout fit for this year’s selection.

“We’re honored to support organizations that are changing lives every day. Table of Grace and the Humane Society of West Alabama reflect the compassion, dedication, and community spirit that define this festival,” said Amy Martin, Executive Director of the West Alabama Food & Wine Festival. “Choosing just one new beneficiary is always incredibly difficult for our board because we have so many outstanding nonprofits doing meaningful work in West Alabama. Every organization that applied is making a real impact, and the decision becomes harder each year,” Martin added.

“Being selected as a beneficiary directly supports our mission to ensure that every neighbor who comes to Table of Grace pantry has access to the fresh, healthy food they deserve,” said Emily Altman, Executive Director of Table of Grace. “Our hope is to use this support to offer even more fresh, healthy food to our neighbors and to bring more families off our waitlist. With this partnership, we can feed more people in more meaningful ways.”

The West Alabama Food & Wine Festival, now entering its 13th year, continues to bring together restaurants, chefs, breweries, wineries, distilleries, and community partners for one of the region’s favorite culinary celebrations. Proceeds from the event directly support nonprofits making a measurable difference in West Alabama.

The 2026 West Alabama Food & Wine Festival will take place in Downtown Northport on April 19, 2026, from 4–7 p.m. Tickets will be available on the festival website beginning December 1.
