We can never thank our nation’s veterans enough for their service.

Veterans Day, November 11, is the date designated for honoring the military veterans of the United States Armed Forces.

In celebration of their 50 years of service, The Hoover Service Club’s November meeting program was dedicated to honoring our veterans.

Heather Pierce is president of The Hoover Service Club. Hoover Service Club First Vice-President Shelley Shaw is program chairman.

The November 13 meeting was held at the Hoover Country Club.

Brigadier General Paul A. Pocopanni, Jr. was the guest speaker, and he spoke on the Hoover Veterans Committee.

The ladies, proudly wearing patriotic colors, were entertained with a special guest musical performance by Alabama State Representative Mike Shaw.

The club’s Hands-On Acts of Service project for November supports the Three Hots and A Cot organization.

This valuable organization, which proudly serves veterans, assists homeless military veterans transition from life on the streets to a self-sustaining lifestyle. They offer shelter, support and stability to the veterans.

The club members generously donated urgent need items including paper towels, Styrofoam plates, napkins, toilet paper and laundry detergent.
