“Breaking fast for awareness”: Upcoming Cancer Awareness Breakfast set for November 15

Men are afraid of the doctor, and there’s an epidemic happening amongst our men in the African American communities, and we want to share information to ensure as many are aware of such,” said Colon Cancer Awareness, Incorporation, founder John R. Ray.

This coming Saturday, November 15, Pastor Dr. Larry McCree and the Bethel Missionary Baptist Church (1708 Spencer Ave., Birmingham, AL 35214) family will host their annual fellowship breakfast, which focuses on Colon Cancer Awareness.

In congruence with Mr. John R. Ray and the Prostate Cancer Awareness Incorporation, Urologist Dr. Brian A. Stone will be facilitator over the event.

Mr. Ray continued, saying,
The great A.G. Gaston taught us ‘your health is your wealth,’ and with the help of the females in our communities, they can help us make sure our men get annual checkups and be aware of their bodily health. To have good health and longevity, drink plenty of water and get plenty of rest. We save men’s lives one man at a time.
