Birmingham, AL — This Hunger Action Month, the Community Food Bank of Central Alabama will distribute food outside Legion Field on Tuesday, September 23 in partnership with Birmingham City Councilor Carol Clarke to support families and individuals facing hunger in central Alabama. Hunger Action Month is a time for everyone in the community to collectively take action against hunger. You can choose action. You can choose to volunteer or raise awareness. You can choose to help end hunger.
The distribution is set to take place outside Legion Field in Birmingham as part of the Community Food Bank’s ongoing commitment to feeding neighbors across central Alabama. Volunteers, partners, and staff will distribute food on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.
“Many of our neighbors face challenges in accessing nutritious food due to increased prices for food and other basic necessities,” said Nicole Williams, Chief Executive Officer of the Community Food Bank of Central Alabama. “Our mission goes beyond meals — it’s about dignity, compassion, and community, and we hope to provide that on this distribution day.”
