Six companies submitted bids pertaining to the relocation of electrical lines concerning the Lakeshore Parkway Extension Project.
Bessemer Mayor Kenneth Gulley and Bessemer Utilities Operations Manager Jerry Yarbrough reviewed the bids and determined that Taylor Electric, Inc., being the lowest responsible bidder, be awarded the contract.
Recently, the contract was awarded to Taylor Electric for the amount of $304,770.00.
At a regularly scheduled meeting of the Bessemer City Council duly assembled with a quorum being present, City Councilman Jarvis Collier made a motion to approve the resolution awarding the bid to Taylor Electric. City Councilwoman Carla Jackson seconded the motion. The motion was approved.
