It’s official!
President Donald Trump announced on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, that the United States Space Command Headquarters will be moving to Huntsville.
Joined by United States Senator Tommy Tuberville and United States Congressman Mike Rogers, President Trump’s report will have a major affect on the Huntsville economy.
The Redstone Arsenal area is ready to welcome the U.S. Space Command Headquarters to Huntsville along with the military personnel and their families.
Governor Kay Ivey issued a statement on September 2 that stated, “As I have said all along, there is no better place to locate Space Command Headquarters than in Huntsville. It is official: Space Command Headquarters is coming to Sweet Home Alabama.”
She continued, “I also applaud our entire Congressional delegation—Republicans and Democrats—especially Congressman Rogers, chairman of the House Armed Service Committee. As our history shows, Alabama stands ready to support the defense of our great nation and Huntsville continues proving the Rocket City is truly Space Central.”
