For 16 years, Jimbo Hall of Greensboro has been the farm manager of Alabama Catfish, Inc., in Greensboro.
The city of Greensboro has long been known as the Catfish Capital of Alabama.
Recently, Hall was named 2025 Alabama Catfish Farmer of the Year by the Catfish Institute (TCI). He is a committed American farmer.
Hall was selected by fellow catfish farmers from a large field of deserving catfish producers throughout the United States and has worked in the catfish industry for 28 years.
It is a known fact that United States farm raised catfish is a healthy and delicious food item enjoyed by millions.
Alabama Farmers Federation Catfish Division Director William Green stated, “Most of Alabama’s roughly 85 catfish farms are in the counties that make up the Black Belt region of Alabama.”
A member of Greensboro Baptist Church, Hall has been married to Heather Hall for 32 years, and they have three sons. He enjoys hunting, camping and spending time at the beach with his family.
